The doctors and nurses at the surgery are aware of the difficulties faced by both their patients and themselves when carrying out intimate examinations unsupervised in the consulting rooms. In these situations a chaperone may be requested.
Please tell reception if you wish to discuss a matter in private.
We reserve a small number of appointments for booking on the day, both in the morning and in the afternoon. The afternoon 'same day appointments are released from 1.45m each day.
If you believe you need to see a GP the same-day and there are no appointments available, your case will be presented to a GP that same day for review. IF necessary the GP will then call you in for a consultation or will contact you by telephone (in person or via a member of the practice team).

You must have previously obtained the necessary access codes in a registration letter from the practice. Please ask at reception for details.

Extended access to GP services
People living in Blackpool can now make an appointment to see a GP in the evenings and at weekends.
NHS Blackpool Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and the GP practices across the town are working together to make extra appointments available for people at a more convenient times.
All of the evening and weekend appointments will take place at Whitegate Health Centre on Whitegate Drive in Blackpool and should be booked by calling your own GP practice as normal.
