Tuesday 1.30pm- 4.00pm
This clinic is run by a midwife. As soon as you become pregnant see your GP who will contact your midwife to arrange a booking appointment. The midwife will initially arrange for a scan, ask you a few questions and carry out some general health checks. You will be seen regularly throughout your pregnancy either at the practice or at the local hospital, or both.
Thursday 1.00pm – 4.00pm
Please remember to register your baby as soon as possible after birth. All new babies are invited for regular check-ups from eight weeks of age onwards.
Diabetes/Asthma/Coronary Heart Disease/Hypertension/Stroke and COPD
Patients will be invited into these clinics led by our nursing team under doctor supervision. Annual check-ups aimed at monitoring the condition and maximising treatment to achieve health objectives will be offered.
Appointments are available for giving advice, treatment and support to patients trying to give up smoking.
If a GP or another member of our health care team believes you need hospital treatment or specialist care elsewhere, they will ask you where and when you would like to go for this treatment.
They can then book your appointment electronically while you wait. If you would prefer to have some time to think before deciding where and when to have treatment, you will be offered the option of calling the practice later and we will be able to book your appointment then or you can ring a booking centre.
