Welcome to Layton Medical Centre

The doctors and staff at Layton Medical Centre in Blackpool are proud to offer the highest standard of patient-centred healthcare. We run many clinics for the management of chronic diseases such as asthma and diabetes and offer a wide variety of other medical services including antenatal and postnatal care, childhood vaccinations and well-person check-ups.

In addition to everything you need to know about the practice you will also find a wealth of health-related information in the menu on the right hand side. Please have a look around and do send us some feedback if you like.

Statement from Dr Shaw and Dr Clark - 14th February 2019

We can confirm recent media reports that our ex senior partner, Dr Jerome Kerrane, has been erased from the medical register.

Dr Kerrane left Layton Medical Centre in July 2015 and his malpractice was uncovered soon after.

It was reported by ourselves to the relevant authorities and we have assisted with their investigations.

We, along with our staff, pride ourselves on honesty and integrity, and are satisfied with the outcome of the General Medical Council tribunal.

We appreciate patients may be concerned but we ask for your understanding that we will be making no further comment.

Patients with particular needs

Our purpose-built premises have full access for disabled patients and a disabled toilet. If you need assistance please ask a member of staff.

We welcome new patients

We aim to treat all our patients courteously and in complete confidence. We feel it is important you know who you are speaking to, so our Practice staff wear a name badge and identify themselves on the telephone.
